How we handle your broker login

You can link a broker account to KineticsTrade in two ways. This page says exactly what happens to your login in each, what we keep, and how you end it.

1. Sign in at your broker (Saxo, cTrader)

• You sign in on your broker's own website. Your password never reaches us.
• Your broker shows you the access being asked for and you approve it there.
• We receive an access grant from the broker, which we store encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a key kept outside our database.
• These links are view only: your broker does not let us place, change or close trades through them.

2. MetaTrader 4 / 5 login and password

• You type your MT login, password and server into our form, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
• We pass them once to MetaApi (metaapi.cloud), the service that runs your MetaTrader terminal in the cloud. We do not store your password — not in our database, not in logs, not in error messages.
• We keep only MetaApi's reference number for your account, encrypted as above.
• With your investor password the link is view only. With your master password, orders you place in KineticsTrade — and copy trading, if you switch it on — are real orders on your account. You choose which password to give.
• MetaApi holds the credential to keep your terminal connected, under its own terms and security practices.

3. What we never do

• We never ask for your broker password by email, chat or phone.
• We never withdraw, deposit or move money. We have no access to transfers.
• We never place a trade you did not ask for. Copy trading only runs if you switch it on, with the limits you set.
• Staff cannot see your broker password, because we do not have it.

4. Ending a link — you are in control

• Disconnect on My broker deletes the link here and, for MetaTrader, deletes the account at MetaApi.
• You can also end it at your broker at any time: change your MetaTrader password, or revoke the app in your cTrader ID or Saxo settings. That cuts access immediately, whatever happens on our side.
• Closing your KineticsTrade account deletes every link.

5. If something goes wrong

If we ever believe a link has been misused we will disconnect it and tell you. If you suspect it, change your broker password first — that ends the link at once — then contact us.
